Mucheru was formerly the Google “Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) ambassador” as well as Country Manager Kenya, based in Nairobi. He joined Google in June 2007 where he leads the delivery of strategy, business planning and operations. Before joining Google, he worked at Wananchi Online, a company he co-founded in 1999. He held various roles at the company including CTO, Strategy & Business Director and CEO. He studied at London’s City University and also attended Stanford University’s Executive Program at Stanford University in 2008.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Itemere served as the Managing Director on the board of Equatorial Commercial Bank. He is a seasoned banker with a career spanning over 20 years both locally and regionally. He has wealth of diverse experience in retail and enterprise banking segments and has worked for Barclays Bank, KCB Kenya and South Sudan, Credit Bank and lastly Imperial Bank. Mr. Itemere holds a BA in Economics and an MBA (Marketing) both from University of Pune.
Kyalo is a Communications engineer with a wide experience in systems design, integration and project management. He has been involved in the information systems networking/telecommunications for the last 25 years both in deployment of solutions and in training at the university level. Kyalo was the CEO of ICT Authority in Kenya. Prior to this he was the Deputy CEO/Program Manager at the Kenya ICT Board (later renamed ICT Authority) with a focus on the implementation of core communication infrastructure and e-services in different sectors of the economy.
Mr. Mugo is the Acting CEO ICT Authority. He initially served as the Director Shared Services at the Authority. He has 18 years’ experience in which his roles have included Chief Technical Officer at Wananchi Group, Chief Information Officer at Safaricom, CEO at Flashcom, Technical Director at UUNET and Head of Technical Operations at Africa Online. He has also held senior positions in industry bodies including the Telecommunications Service Providers of Kenya, the Telecommunications Network Operators Association and Africa CDMA Forum.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Strategic Management both from the University of Nairobi and is an alumnus of the Pan African Advanced Management Program jointly run by IESE Business School, Strathmore Business School and Lagos Business School.
Timothy Mwololo Waema is a Professor of Information Systems in the School of Computing and Informatics in the University of Nairobi. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Strategic Management of Information Systems from the University of Cambridge(UK) and a Bachelors Honours Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bath (UK). Prof. Waema has extensive ICT for development research experience, including ICT and poverty, ICT and governance, ICT and climate change, ICT and education, ICT and agriculture, and ICT in small and medium enterprises. He has published widely in journals, conference proceedings and in books. In addition, he has edited two books, one on electronic governance and another on ICTs and poverty. Prof. Waema has extensive ICT consultancy experience that spans over 30 years in both private and public sector organizations in Kenya and the African region many aspects of ICTs and development, including ICT policy, ICT strategy development and implementation, software development, ICT specifications and tender evaluation, ICT project management, and network infrastructure design and development. Prof. Waema sits on editorial boards of several peer reviewed journals and is a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the largest association of computing professionals globally. He also sits in boards of several public and private sector organizations.
Ms. Kariuki was appointed Director of Partnerships, Innovation and Capacity in January 2015 at ICT Authority. The appointment followed the merger of former ICT Board, e-Government and Government Technology Systems (GITS). Until then she was the Marketing Director at Kenya ICT Board for seven years where she doubled up as Deputy CEO. Before getting into public services, Ms. Kariuki spent two years at Microsoft as a Public Sector Account Manager in charge of Education in Eastern and Southern Africa. In 1999 she founded and managed Records & Archives Management Systems (RAMS) Ltd for seven years. She also worked for Eastman Kodak for 2 years, and 1 year at Avro International Aerospace in UK.
Eunice holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Maastricht School of Management affiliated to Eastern Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), a BSc. (Hons) Degree in Business Studies from UK, a Higher National Diploma in Business Information Technology (BITech), and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Diploma.
Mr. Wangusi is the Director-General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), a position he has held since 21st August 2012.
With over 20 years experience in the ICT Sector, Mr. Wangusi has previously served in various capacities at the Authority and as a Senior Lecturer at the Multimedia University College - Kenya.

Eng. Tanui is the chief executive officer of KoTDA, which has been mandated by the Government of Kenya to implement the Konza Techno City project.
Before joining KoTDA, Eng. Tanui was the Deputy Country CEO and Vice President of Huawei Technologies in charge of delivery and service divisions. He worked with Huawei in different capacities for over 15 years.

He is currently completing his PhD at the University of Nairobi and continues to provide Consultancy services to Government and other organisations. Mr. Simon Gichuki is currently a Manager at Bank Supervision Department, Central Bank of Kenya, where he has worked since joining CBK in 2003.
At CBK, he spearheaded computerisation of on-site inspection process at Bank Supervision Department in 2007. Apart from normal inspection, he has special interest in Information System Audit and he is a specialist on use of Computerized Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs).
Prior to Joining CBK, he had worked as an Auditor with an international Audit Firm – Ernst & Young between1999 and 2003. He had also worked as a Lecturer in Mathematics, Accounting and Economics at Maharishi University of Management (1998-1999).

Mr. George J Anyango currently works as Director, IPRS, a department charged with the responsibility of integrating ALL population registration agencies in the public domain with a view to create a comprehensive master database as the single point of truth on identity in Kenya.
Mr. Anyango, working with an able team from the State Department of Interior and indeed from all agencies involved in this initiative, has successfully created the electronic database comprising of about 35 million records, against a target of 42 million. The IPRS Portal is today the only platform that facilitates real time identity varification for agencies. The portal is increasingly changing the public service delivery framework, including accelerating the realization of the government digital payment system, among other benefits to the economy.
Previously, Mr. Anyango worked in varous departments in different capacities as an Economist, an experience spanning a period of 30 years. His passion is in the area of policy formulation, project development and management. This expertise has been ably discharged whenever he has been called upon to provide leadership in such complex programs like the Millennium Development Goals initiative and the Lake Victoria Development Program where he worked as the National Coordinator in both.
Harry Mwangi is the Ag. Head of Government Digital Payments, the entity charged with digitization of all inward payments into Government.
Over the past 5 years, He has been an active champion of Public Sector ICT Shared Services within the Government of Kenya.
Harry has over 20 years experience in technology and project delivery in the region, the US and in Europe, both in the private and public sectors. Harry holds a BSc in Information Systems from the University of Hertfordshire in the U.K. and a M Sc Decision Sciences from the same institution.

Esther oversees the implementation of activities, provides strategic vision and conducts monitoring and evaluation of the project. Prior to joining the private sector, Esther worked for 18 years with USAID/East Africa as a Regional ICT Specialist and managed regional ICT projects to the tune of over US$1.5m.
